I found out yesterday that the Victorian Government plans to charge everyone who overnight camps in a National Park from March 2014.

The Government has prepared a regulatory impact statement (RIS) to assess the impact of introducing a user pays approach to camping fees for all parks and reserves managed by Parks Victoria. It can be read here:
